Design Time and Tile Established
Design Time and Tile was established on Eastside Road, by Strange and Son in 1993. It was a small location, but we quickly built a devoted following.
History
Design Time expansion
We expanded the showroom three times in 10 years, eventually taking over the entire main building with showroom, warehouse space, and offices. By 2006 we were the largest flooring retailer in Northern California with the widest selection of quality products.
Design Time Moved to current location
Rapidly outgrowing the Eastside Road location in Redding, we moved to our current location, however were only occupying about a third of the complex. Mark's Place was an area favorite watering hole on the front of the property, and the west end of the main building had other tenants.
Expansion of the current location completed
With the closure of Mark's Place, Design Time took over the building and converted it to more showroom space as well as adding a covered granite yard with a large selection of granite slabs.
